I have received the book "A year with Jesus: Daily Readings and Reflections on Jesus' Own Words" by R.P. Nettelhorst from the book publishing company booksneeze.com. I have read a couple of the devotionals inside this book, and to be honest, it is not what I expected it to be (the type of devotional I like). What I did not like about it was the book itself was bulky and kinda heavy, it wasn't really quick to read, and the there were too many pages. The book has about 200 pages, but the pages are really large in size. This book is a 365 daily devotional, but the devotionals are really, really long to read, (I think many of them have taken up to one to two minutes just to read!). This is a LONG devotional, so unless you like to read long devotionals, I suggest you should get this book. The book covers a series of topics: Love and Hate, Truths and Lies, Arrogance and Humility, Friends and Enemies, Belief and Disbelief, Patience and Impatience, Deserved and Undeserved, Good and Evil, Fidelity and Treachery, & Life and Death. There are about 5-7 devotionals per chapter. (The topics are the chapter.) Yes, I like this book because some of the things it covers are really good, No I don't like this book because it is really bulky, but not too bulky, and the devotionals (for me) take forever to read. I would suggest this book to anyone who is willing to take the time to read the devotionals or for someone who likes really long explanatory devotionals.
